Let’s take a look at whether you fit as an online marketer.
I am not going to tell you anyone can do this, because not everyone can. This is not a one size fits all business.
I am also not going to tell you that it’s easy, or that you will find overnight success. It takes a lot of consistent work, vision, endurance, and a willingness to learn. If your personal abilities include these qualities your chances of success increase dramatically.
There are many questions that naturally come to mind when you are just starting out building an online business.
- How much money is it going to cost me?
- How much time will I have to spend?
- Can I keep my day job?
- How much stuff will I have to buy?
- Do I need to be a computer expert?
- Do I need to be a writer?
- Do I have to be a designer?
All of these questions will be answered in today’s lesson.
There are so many people out in the world who are sick of the daily job grind that gets them nowhere fast. I myself am a part of that crowd and as I have learned about how to build a business on the internet I see a light at the end of the tunnel.
First of all, you don’t have to go into debt to start your own internet business. The key is to buy smarter.
You don’t have to devote a lot of time to build your business, but you do have to commit to a certain amount of time every week. However, consistency, making a plan and working your plan are an absolute necessity.
Stop spending money on stuff. It’s easy to buy into the sales letters of how easy it would be if only you had just this one widget. But the truth is most people buy stuff that never gets used because they don’t know what to do with it or how to make it work.
Stay out of debt. You don’t have to go into debt to build a successful home based business. There are way too many free tools out there.
Be willing to learn what it takes to be successful. Be coachable and step out of your comfort zone. Sitting on the couch in front of your t.v. won’t find you success.
You don’t have to be a computer expert but you do have to be willing to learn and be comfortable with working on a computer. If you’re going to build a business on the internet you have to be able to find your way around a computer.

Make a commitment to the following
- Scheduling time in your day to work on your business
- Learning about what it takes to be a marketer and being willing to do whatever it takes as long as it is ethical
- Becoming comfortable with working with the computer and on the internet
- Being coachable and realize that it will take time and effort, nothing happens overnight
