I know I’ve been harping on the Keyword thing, but everything I read from the “Experts” just keeps bringing me back to it!
How do your customers use the internet? They go to their browser and enter some words into the search box. When they hit enter, the search engine then goes out and locates all the web pages that contain those words in the most powerful way as to seem that those web pages will give the user the answer they are looking for.
You have to do your keyword research. Once you have built our keyword list you must use it. Start blogging 2-3 times per week, posts between 300-700 words.
Don’t think you have time? Think again! If you want to build your business you will find the time. Be creative…take one day a week and write 2 or 3 blog posts and set them up to post at different times. It doesn’t have to be an on the spot thing.
We make time for the things that are important in our lives – our “significant other”, our children, family time, favorite sports, reading…you must put blogging on that list or your business is dead in the water. All other aspects of building your business are done in support of your blogging. If you are trying to build an online business, blogging just has to be at the head of the plan. And keywords are at the head of the blogging plan.
I know there is a lot to focus on to build an online presence. Remember the entertainer that spins the plates? He starts with one and then another and then another, all the while always making sure to get back to those first plates to give them a fresh spin. Blogging is that first plate and you must keep it spinning to find your success on the internet.
Some people get lucky and hit the ground running right out of the gate…but if they are going to stay on top they have to be blogging.
